Vocaroo

My class and I visited another New Zealand class blog yesterday.  We listened to an interview that two of the students had done, they used Vocaroo.  This is an extremely easy way to record your voice. I am amazed I haven't seen it on other blogs before this.  So fuss free!

  1. Kathryn,

Great tool to use with students on blogs! Can you save the file as well?

  2. Theresa I believe you can email it, but I don't know about saving it. It is very simple, you don't have to join a website, so that makes it great for students to use.

  3. Hi Kathryn, I want to use tools like this more often. Some of my reluctant writers could be given a chance to 'speak' their work, rather than write about it.
I am also replying to your question about the cost of elluminate, another communication tool. I am not sure how much elluminate costs for educational purposes. You can get your own free vRoom through membership with http://learncentral.org but can only have a maximum of three people in the room. I am really lucky in that the Innovations and Next Practise Division of our Education Department have purchased a large license that is available to DEECD teachers in Victoria. It is an amazing tool and the richness of learning comes with the interactivity.

Thanks for all this information, I have bookmarked it to explore during the 2 week break coming up.
