I would have recommended you start with Alaska, Paper Towns or Fault. <br /><br />I bought Franny K. Stein right at the end of the school year (though Scholastic sent 2, 3, and 4 but not 1 in their pack...)- I am glad to hear that it is good. <br /><br />Don't you love Marty?!? I try and stay away from depressing books as well but this one was worth it.
